F-card holder Belgium

So me and my husband have been married for 5 years now with 2 kids together but the relationship is not working anymore, but in-between i found someone else that i really like and instead of going and rent a apartment and live alone i want to go and live together with my new boyfriend.

My question is if i should ask for a divorce with my husband will my F card be taken or do i still have rights

hi

i have a very similar case.

i also got divorced.

and i got a new visa after my divorce..

Are you working? How many years have you been working?

If your marriage no longer works, you can always file for divorce.

Just make sure you're officially divorced before starting a new relationship.

In some cases, your ex may file an immigration case against you,

alleging a marriage for a visa, which unfortunately happens with foreigners here.

After your divorce, they could revoke your F card, and you would need to apply for a work visa.

To qualify, ensure you have all necessary documents proving you have a stable job, are paying taxes, and are financially independent.

A new relationship won鈥檛 guarantee your visa, so you鈥檒l need to secure it through your own work history.

good luck.

Hi, how long have you been living in Belgium with your husband? You can keep your F card if you have been living with your husband for at least 3 years or you have kids together which is the case.

U can keep your F Card in the following cases

1- If you have been together with your husband for at least 3 years sharing same adress , (You need to have a job and Salary)

2- you have child or children together ,and your children are having Belgium or EU Nationals , ( you also need to have a Job and Salary)

3- you are a victim of domestic Violance

hi generally yes. You can keep the F card if you鈥檙e living here for 3 years and your kids are Belgian.

but one major requirement to keep the Fcard and obtain an F+ is work.

No problem for you. You can take an F+ and then later on apply for Belgian citizenship.

@Angelic Medy

Why not apply for citizenship?? You have all the qualifications
