Need Guidance 鈥� Family Reunification Visa Confusion (India 鈫� Belgium)

Hi everyone,

I鈥檓 reaching out to seek guidance from anyone who has experienced something similar.

I applied for family reunification visas for my husband and my son in New Delhi, India, in May 2025. Recently, the IVZ portal showed an update stating that the visa was approved in principle, pending submission of documents. After that update, the Embassy contacted us asking for a specific MYRENT document, which we submitted on 11 November.

Since then, the Embassy has only told us to wait.

When we followed up, the Embassy said that the file has been sent to Brussels.

But when we checked with IBZ, they said that they are no longer competent for this file.

This has left us confused because it鈥檚 unclear who is actually handling the case now or what the next step is supposed to be.

If anyone has gone through a similar situation鈥攕tatus approved on IVZ 鈫� Embassy asks for a document 鈫� then confusion between Embassy and Brussels/IBZ鈥擨 would really appreciate hearing your experience, timeline, or any advice.

Send a new email to consulate, attaching the IBZ response. Sometimes IBZ makes decision, transmits it to Embassy and it is in Embassy queue to process and update the file.

We did twice to no response. Do you by any chance know - does the status on ibz change from granting of visa upon submission of additional documents or not?

Hello Everyone,

I am a visa D holder since an year now. recently got married and applied for Family reunification for my wife. herewith below are our application details. Can anyone respond on which month are they processing at the moment to gain visibility on potential approval date for those who applied in July 2025? normally they say it's 6 months but it differs case to case as per what i have seen in this forum

Application date: Jul 23 2025

Registration date: Aug 12 2025

Decision : In processing

Hi, ours was May application with registeration to FPS on 19th june. We got the visa last week.

Hello, Thank you for letting know.

We got a response yesterday asking for additional document (insurance with longer validity). we did submit the document to vfs yesterday but did not receive any message from vfs whether it has been sent or not. could you please let me know how did you submit the documents? is it same like submitting it to VFS or did you also mail the document to consulate in this email : mumbai.visa@diplobel.fed.be ?
