Work permit for a spouse

Hi,

My wife is getting a work permit done by her employer and I'll be accompanying her on a dependent visa.

I'd like to work in Belgium once I get there. What's the process? Can I get a company to get a work permit for me in Belgium once I get a job in there?

yes that should not be a problem - once you get a work permit, you can work
Once you come here and after 4-5 trips to the city hall you will get your dependent residence card valid for a yr which follows your wife's card. Then once you find a new employer you will need a work permit B to start working. Min salary for permit B is around 40K gross.

Thanks. This helps. Does this mean I don't have to head back to India to get my work permit B? Minimum salary sounds fine.
No, you don't have to leave the country at all. I'm sure of that.

If after a year you dont have a job if you take proof to the city hall that you are searching for a job they give you more time
