Hi ,

Part of the nationality application only birth certificate has been asked , But do we need to give copies of indian passport anywhere down the process of application.

Will the passport copies would be asked at any point?

Recent completed my citizenship process only original birth certificate required which will be returned after the process at least i got my back. No Indian passport required.

you will be asked to bring your passport when submitting the application for nationality.
They have used my passport to verify my name on the birth certificate and returned it on the same day.

Yes, you have to apostille the birth certificate. In my case i have extracted the copy from my marriage file. As i did my married process in Belgium.

I would like to add another point:

I recently submitted my application for the nationality.
I have used the birth certificate with a 6 year old apostille without any issue.

They didn't ask for a recent (not more than 6 months old) apostille.
