Paternity Leave - Citizenship

Gamargu

Hi All,

Does anyone know if taking paternity leave will be considered as not working when you want to apply for citizenship through the 5 years path. I saw that when on paternity leave, you are not paid by your employer but by the mutuelle.

Anyone with an experience with this scenario will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Gamargu,

did you end up having an answer to your question?

thank you

@lebimmi

Not a solid answer per se but what most told me is that Parental Leave(4 months per child) count as not working but paternity leave(20 days) does not

Thank you Gamargu for the update
