I would like to know about salaries of engineers ( I am an industrial engineer) in Brussels. I have an interview with an international company in Brussels. how much do engineers ( less than 3 years experience) earn at international companies in Brussels?

Hi Semith,

The average salary of an engineer is 1700聙 net.

Most companies offer extras such as hospital insurance, meal vouchers, group insurance (pension), a yearly premium and a end year bonus on the top of holiday pay.

Not advisible though to ask about the salary during the 1st interview. You can do so during the next.

Hi Dario,

Just checking that the minimum wage in Belgium is 1520.00 Euros. It means that a graduated engineer earns 480.00 euros more than an waiter in a restaurant ? Is the gap that narrow ?

Yes, is normal for a graudate engineer with no o little experience. Obviously, the gap keep increasing for a more experienced engineer.

Belgium has crap wages, and not cheap to live...I can't believe it....still trying to get my head around the paycut.

I was quoted 聙2600 - 3200 Gross. Procurement Proffessional/Purchasing...
