January-March is not really a "long-term" rental, so I don't think many estate agents can help with this.

I would suggest it's easier to use Booking (dot com) or Airbnb (dot com) and get something for a month or so to start.

A long-term rental contract is sometimes possible for less time, but usually the owner/agent is looking for a year's contract. You'll typically pay 1 month as the agent's commission, and 1 or 2 months as a security deposit. Even with such a contract, you can usually give 30 days notice, and hence get out of it. But you've lost your deposit and commission, so it's not cost-effective for a couple of months. But it can work if you spend 4-6 months exploring Bulgaria, and find a place to buy... then want to move in.

For long-term stuff, there's plenty of agents you can find on the web. OLX (dot bg) is very popular with locals, but can be hard for foreigners to complete a deal. But good for research. BulgarianProperties (dot com) is a very big agent with listings all over the country, and is very expat-focused with English listings and English-speaking agents. So it's easy to find something online and complete the deal without seeing the property (if you want to). They sometimes have listings in Bansko which, as a winter resort, sometimes has owners willing to do 3-6 months contracts instead of insisting on a year.

@iansharp7 Yes. Here 1-3 months is assumed as shirt term and only Airbnb or Booking could works.

Short terms during the winter season are very common in the winter resorts as Bansko. There are groups in FB which have a lot of similar listings.

January to March is a short term. Nevertheless, I have a house that will suit you
