Turkish Shopping Trips

Those living near the boarder do you take regular regular trips to Turkey for cheaper produce and other essentials?.

I am curious, as prices rise in Bulgaria are more people living near the boarder making regular shopping trips?

I make the odd shopping foray into Greece. I've never been to Turkey but, given the rampant inflation there, I'd suspect that the savings might not be worth the expense of getting to Turkey for most of us who don't live on the border. If it's more of an excursion with an added opportunity to do some shopping, that's another matter. 馃槑

The prices are not that much different. Not worth the drive just to save a few Leva.

Its nice to go to Turkey or Greece just for a change and a day out.

Greece is very easy now as there are no border checks.

I now cycle into Greece regularly because of the border changes.

@frazer2022

This is what I was looking for.

I was wondering if petrol/gas prices was a lot cheaper and supermarkets etc so much that it made sense to pop over the boarder for the big shop and to fill up the car (a regular pilgrimage to Sok market...).

I've seen some comments on facebook eluding to people doing regular trips but not seen any details.

Personally I don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 worth the effort. There always seems long waits at the border to not save hardly anything.
