Personally, L would not recommend ay of the large online agents but rather would search the Bulgarian language property sites to research the market and identify which of the local agents operate in your area of interest.

My wife and I are currently in Bulgaria on a similar quest having identified the south east corner of the Rhodopes as our target. The amount of property available far exceeds that which is offered by agents and that by several factors exceeds the amount offered on the web.

The best properties seem not even to reach the agent's books but are sold privately.
