"Hottest" and "Dustiest" months to visit

Hi folks,

As per post title :)

If someone wanted to get a feel for whether they could "survive" the hottest and "dustiest" months in Cyprus then when would be the best/worst month(s) to visit for 2-4weeks?

Thanks,

Jim

July and August and stay lower down the hills as that is hotter and more humid.

Thanks Toon - any examples and is that for both temp. and dust?

I'd probably expect dust to be more of a problem closer to the coast and at lower elevations, is that correct and if so is it worse on east/west/south....?

Cheers Phil - but I'm a bit confused, so probably just not understanding you properly.

I get that there's the idea of a "humidity libe" and beliw test elevation it can/will feel more humid/oppressive at higher temperatures that's at higher elevations, but does that also mean that the effects of the dust are worse below the "humidity line"?

Can't give聽 a comparison Jim as I've only lived in the west and not the east or in higher elevations... We did have a couple of days of the dust some weeks ago ... But none since..when we went to Chania Crete recently and on arrival they had just had a massive dust storm and the place was a mess Ive not seen that level here..

Higher elevations are cooler and I believe less humid

Dust seems to come and go and is dependant on the wind direction as well as location.
