Biting Insects

I live in the south of France and am being bitten by invisible bugs, they're not mosquitoes.聽 聽The welts are large, itchy and red.聽 聽Does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them from my home?

There's a bug called "aoutat" in French. Its a pesky, invisible bug. According to Google, the bites are grouped together, unlike mosquito bites.聽 These creatures love humidity.聽 The only way to avoid them is to cover up neck to toes.聽 But don't know if they live in the south of France.

This sounds a bit like bedbugs. Not sure if available but I've heard that temprid works on ants and bedbugs. They aren't invisible but come out to bite around 2 AM. They are very clever. Tell your landlord or a local pest service.
