Hello All,

Happy to have just arrived, solo and sans souci, in Aix-en-Provence and looking forward to making it my home. I just retired after a career in journalism, most recently as editorial page editor for The Palm Beach Post. Here, I hope to explore the surroundings, work on a novel or two and just taste freedom, and pastries. I lived in Brussels for three years as a kid, so I have some French to draw upon and am working diligently to bring it back up to speed. I'm looking for compatriots and French friends to hike, talk books or Provence war stories or just share a cup of expresso.
