I was about to reply to another discussion but then I saw this

you have asked at the right time.
I happen to have a whole bunch of paper maps I got fr the Government in France
I sent for them years ago intending to bicycle around the entire country some time in my life.
from village to village--like maybe 20 miles a day and then be spontaneous enough to stop in any town or village that hits my fancy and stay as long as I want befor emoving on
none of those pre arranged tours.
So here it is:

Some bike touring companies charge a small fortune to help you tour on a bicycle
but I feel if I find b&b's for myself and have these maps I can do it on my own
however, if you are interested in joining my little adventure let me know
I will be beginning the journey this year in April and the first place I go is a town called Sarthe.
From there I will bicycle out and I might be able to stay the whole year.
I am a woman in my fifties--for your information
and I am fun I can make jokes and also I am very spiritual
part of my journey will also be to some of the very ancient but active monastaries in that wonderful country of France
