Dependent visa to Work Visa( Bluecard)

I am currently in Germany on ICT DEPENDENT VISA and my visa states that employment is allowed.

Now, I have got job in Germany and want to apply for Blue card.

So basically I want to get my individual visa as I don't want to be on Dependent聽 Visa as it is expiring in April and don't want to extend dependent visa.

If anyone has done the similar process please guide.

Please ask your local foreigners office (Ausl盲nderamt),whether such a conversion is possible and what the needed formalities and timelines are.

I contacted them and they told me that I should start the application for Blue card.

I wanted to know from someone who has already done something like this earlier to get some better insights.
