Process of National visa from Singapore

Hello,

I have an offer from a Berlin company and they would be applying for my bluecard. I am here in Singapore on work permit for more than 2 years , living with my wife and 2 kids. Is it possible I can apply for national visa along with my family from Singapore? I wanted to apply for my family visas from here in Singapore because average waiting time for family reunion visas in my homeland is 12-18 months which is much more :( Does anyone has similar experience or know the process? Looking forward to hear from all of you.

Thanks,

As far as I know, it is possible.
But for a definitive answer please contact the German embassy in Singapore!

Hi I am also applying for National Visa from Singapore. I am originally from Pakistan and currently in Singapore on EP. The required docs are

I am still a bit unclear on blue IC part since this is only required for Employment Visa and EU Blue card. Rest all visa categories accept EP, DP and Blue IC.
Anyways I have booked Embassy appointment for this Friday. Will definitely confirm you whether it is possible or not on Friday ;)

As Beppi says, if you and your family members are long term resident (means you hold the residence permit of long term stay visa) of another country than your home country, then you can apply from the consulate in the country of your residence.

Thanks everyone, This info will definitely help me.

@Sohaib I think blue ic card is for Singapore PR holder. Do let me know when you have update from embassy :)

From wikipedia
"The NRIC comes in two main colour schemes: pink for citizens and blue for permanent residents (PR)"
Hi,
I got a reply from German Embassy. They say you can apply for visa from Singapore if you have valid residence permit/Long term pass.
