3. The months after the current Corona crisis and the subsequent recession have subsided.
In other words: Try in a few years (and learn German in the meantime)!

In my experience it is better to find a job first and move then.

I have (British and living in Germany) friends that are qualified in the UK with accountancy although they were fluent in German they changed professions because of the RED TAPE, and that's putting it nicely.

I concur with what others have written here. One will very likely need to have not only fluent Germany but a grasp of high level technical jargon. And while accounting principles ae fundamentally similar in most countries, the details and differences matter. Like in law, there is country specific knowledge needed for such a job. And there is no specific city or season for such job opportunities.

But the normal process for a non-EU citizen to get the work visa is to first get the job, look online. The other way is to get a job seeker visa and come to look; something that involves many requirements and can be a frustrating and expensive endeavor. And such a search is not possible under the present Covid-19 crisis.

Besides for job seekers "the Agency for work " ist the place to ask first.

The Federal Employment Agency is primarily responsible for job placement, compensation benefits and job promotion for the unemployed and job seekers. Almost every German has stumbled across the Federal Employment Agency at some point i think ()
