A forgotten item in Hersonissos?

Hi fellow Australians,

We鈥檝e just come back from our holidays in Crete (Hersonissos) and I realised I forgot my shirt at the hotel. 馃槄

I tried to organise for the hotel owners to send it, even within Europe at my expense, but the communication has been very difficult.

I was wondering if anyone is coming back to Australia from Crete soon and could kindly pick it up from the hotel and bring it back with them. Of course, we are more than happy to cover any costs or make it worthwhile for you.

Thanks so much in advance! 馃檹

Maybe it would be an idea for you to find someone who could translate for you and send an email to the hotel in Greek?

I guess your or the hotel can find someone going to Australia to take it with them. Or if you prefer for the hotel to post it to you. In any case it is better to speak with management of the hotel and explain that the item is important to you. I am sure management would be able to properly understand English.

If the hotel had agreed to send it themselves, I probably wouldn鈥檛 even be posting here. Unfortunately, they鈥檝e asked me to arrange a courier pickup, and that鈥檚 proving extremely difficult 鈥 nothing seems to operate smoothly out of Crete. I鈥檝e looked into it, but it鈥檚 almost impossible to book a service directly from here.

That鈥檚 why I was hoping to see if someone travelling back to Australia from Crete might be able to help me bring it over. I鈥檇 of course cover any costs involved.

@SimCityAT

They do understand English. They just don't want to cooperate...
