Pregnancy and delivery in Budapest

Hello,

I'd like to have pieces of information about the pregnancy and the delivery here in Budapest.
Is there anyone who had pregnancy consultations and delivery in public hospital ? Did it go well ?

And what about the private clinics and their fees ?

Two of our kids were born in Hungary in a public hospital and it went absolutely fine.聽 This was in a Sopron which is a training hospital for Debrecen University international medical graduates. Our doctor was from the Middle East, not Hungarian and could speak Hungarian and English to a reasonable level.聽 I can only say the service was better than just good. Some things about the location were not that good but survivable - food was not too great, the rooms were a bit cold etc. With support from outside, it's no problem medically but speaking Hungarian sure helps if you have to hang around the hospital for a week or two.

No idea on private. Can be done though. Same doctors at the hospitals have their private practices. Just ask them.
