Weather in Dublin in middle May

Hi to everyone!

I am going to Dublin for a week from 15 May, and I would like to know how is the weather in Dublin in this period.

Do I have to bring with me warm clothes like jersey, coat, scarf and gloves, or light clothing?聽

Right now it is cold (to me, 9 C) and rainy.聽 For your trip, it would be best to assume the worst weather conditions and prepare accordingly.

Definitely, check Dublin's weather forecast prior to your departure. You will have an idea of the conditions over the following 5-7 days.

I agree with the above post. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Leave your summer clothes at home basically, I have never had to put my coat away in ireland even in the summer, we live in hope.

You will not need a ski parka, but you will want to bring some kind of waterproof shell and a sweater.聽 A light Goretex parka would be good, so you can take it off when the sun comes out, and put it back on when the rain comes down.聽 The rain is fond of Ireland.

The best advice is: Dress in layers.聽 We have had days that are 48F and days that are 70F.聽 The weather changes quickly here.聽 Be prepared for a little rain and travel light.
