Expat gathering: Drinks - Saturday 18th August

Hi everyone, it seems there are a few of us who have either just moved out or are moving out to Milan soon and lots of others that would be keen to go for some drinks and meet some new people!
So planning on having a get together on the 18th August. I dont move out until next Monday so I'm probably not the best person to suggest a place- anyone any ideas? Everyone welcome - the more the merrier!
A few folk I've spoken to who dont move out untill September/Octboer time so we will arrange another gathering around that time too

hey

yea i'm up for the one on the 18th. shouldn't be a problem for me as i get weekends off. this is only my first week in milan though so have no idea where to suggest!? also im planning on visiting venice next week sometime if anyone is interested?

Hi all,
I would love to join but I might be not in Milano this week. The week is the Ferragosto week and Milano will be pretty empty. Most of the people are at the seaside. Therefore, don't get disappointed if a lot of shops and restaurants are closed.
However, next time I will join you for sure.

any idea where we could meet though? otherwise we could just have a wander around milan centre until we find somewhere nice to stop for a drink?
and chris, we're not meeting up until the 18th which is next week, would you be here by then?

Great idea!聽 I am not in Milan until October but would be great to meet everyone in a couple of months, you'll all be experts at finding the best bars and restaurants by then!

Carys, I just have decided not to be in Milano for the next 3 weeks. My company will be closed for one week too, so I am going to have some vacation. I will come back in September and look forward to our meet ups.

No idea! I don't move till Monday so I'm not too clued up on places to go! Will have a scout around next week and post details up- any suggestions? Somewhere social for everyone to meet and chatter x
