My nurse friend got back to me. She said there isn鈥檛 anything specifically different for the healthcare sector, but she did share a few tips.

First, she confirmed the importance of having a 鈥淢y Profile鈥� section at the beginning of your CV to briefly explain your background and skills. Then, she strongly recommends describing the tasks you鈥檝e performed in each job, especially if you鈥檙e applying for positions that are different from what you鈥檝e done so far.

For example, she said someone who has worked only in hospitals and is applying for a job in a hospital or clinic can simply list their experiences. However, someone who worked as a nurse in a private company and wants to apply to a hospital should detail their job in the company to show the relevance to the new job and demonstrate that they haven鈥檛 lost any key skills.

Lastly, she mentioned that she found her job through the website and set up alerts to ensure she didn鈥檛 miss any opportunities that matched her profile.
