Building costs in malta

Hi all,

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum to ask these questions but anyways..

We have airspace in Qawra and permit to build 2 flats and 1 penthouse. We would like to build 1 flat to start with as we are not home owners yet.
The airspace is approx.70m squared i would say and we would do a combined kitchen/living area, 3 medium bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

What are the usual building/ construction costs?

Since the cost of buying an apartment went down is it more worth it to buy a flat that is ready then building it from scratch ?

I know that costs very alot from materials, construction, square meter of area .... But we would like an answer from somebody who built an apartment to see whether we opt to use our airspace or not.

it should be somewhat cheaper to build than buy - one of the major costs of building is the cost of land. The cost of getting building permits is also not cheap. So you are covered on those two already.
