BTW according to my experience with people related to the gambling industry in Malta, it seems that they do not like the word gambling but igaming (gambling might be illegal -without license, etc.- while igaming is always licensed); not sure if it is only me who notice that thing...

PS: "Yogurina" nickname sounds funny in Spanish...

lol Lusco, I worked in Bulgaria for bwin.party in the last 6 years (according the statistics the company is just behind Pokerstars & Fulltilt, that's why I've called it "giant").

I worked in Malta too for another gambling company, and this is another reason that makes me wish to came back- I am in love with the sunny island and its magic atmosphere.

You are completely right for your thought regarding the term "iGaming", this is the most used one & yeahh- I've contacted "Pentasia" & "Betting connections" already, but it seems that my profile doesn't match to any current vacancies offered by them.

P.S. "Yogurina" means "young nice girl" in the Spanish slang but I selected it as a nickname as an honor to my country  because of the "yogurt" words play (Bulgaria is the yogurt's home country and not Greece, as our Greek neighbors pretend to lol)

Lol I saw now that you are Spaniard in fact, so please forget my teaching about the "yogurina" meaning in Spanish.

Surely bwin.party is one of the giants. I know them quite well, indeed I do business with them but I did not know that they have staff in Bulgaria.

People say that it is much easier to get a job if you are already in Malta (it makes sense because you are providing them immediacy in the recruitment process), but I understand that it might be impossible or nonsense for you to stay in Malta waiting for a job.

PS: So thanks Bulgaria for the yogurts, I love them. Fortunately for me I do not have to choose just one of both as you did; Yogurts or yogurinas... LOL

And yeah- they have an office in Sofia (Bulgaria) where they have the customer service department, some IT developers and the bookmaking department.

I know that is much easier to get a job if you are already in Malta, BUT I am not a Spanish citizen as you and for us (Bulgarians and Romanians) they are different rules to apply (for being the black sheeps of the EU )...so this would be a little bit risky.

And hey- thank you for the welcoming and all the nice tips you gave me, really appreciated!I owe you a couple of pints if I am coming to Malta one day.

@elinabio I trust you. Having one of the lowest corporate tax in the EU and the lowest salaries in the EU; many foreign companies love that, I understand that you (Bulgarians) probably not that much.

You are right, I forgot about the temporary restriction of movement in the EU for BG and RO nationals. So you say you are the black sheeps of the EU and it is said that we (Spain) are one of the . I see a farm here...

I know my tips have not been very useful for you but about the couple of pints; I will hold you to your word.

I am not able to give you any advice as I brought my work with me. at Sofia it will take 2-3 weeks to find a new QA related job (if you donÂ’t look for something peculiar). I was told it is quite different here

actually IT salaries in Bulgaria are not that low. still lower than in rest of Europe though

@ elinabio, 2-3 weeks to find a QA job sounds as heaven, however my Quality management profile is not the IT related one. There is some duplication in the QA / QM job assignation and could mean "quality assurance or quality control" (with an IT background) or Quality Management (which is concentrated in the customer satisfaction and retention).

Hi Susy,

most of the jobs are in the customer service section and usually require being a native speaker of a non-English european language. A second non-English language is even better.

Workers communicate with gamblers in their native language to solve various problems and to try and get players to spend more money.

Other jobs are in IT and have to do with website programming,gaming and technical services.
