Here on Malta and I suspect Gozo will be similar most chemists have a doctor in residence at some point during the day or week.

I can highly recommend the "family doctor" we had while living in Gozo:

Dr. Joseph Rapa
Mgarr Road (just before the heliport roundabout, on the left)
Ghajnsielem
phone: 21558637 (clinic) or 79558637 (mobile)

He is a very kind person, caring and professional - back here in Germany I sometimes long for a doctor like him ;-)
