Average salary hotel receptionist

Hi,

Could somebody advise on average salary for hotel receptionist in 4 star hotel? Also, for reservations agent?

Hi Exiebiexi,

welcome to the forum.

They usually prefer candidates that speak Maltese and foreign languages.

Salary will be around minimal salary ie 800 聙 . Make sure that you are paying NI and that they are paying half of the amount.

They should apply for a work permit for you (at least until the end of this year).

id go along with ricky on this one - make sure they are paying it too (tax (if applicable) and SSC) - and not just saying they are. although it may not be mentioned in adverts as it may be illegal to do so - it is more or less a given that maltese is essential

Minimum salary 聙800? Where did you find it? I was working at reception in 4* hotel and I had 聙660.

you are right !

I just didn't want to make it sound too bad . That's why I said around ....

Many don't even get minimmum salary ... especially if they are non-EU.

Ups, sorry, didn't know I hope the wages will increase as it's not so good. But still better than for example in my country where at reception you can get around 聙200-300...
