Hi Laurent and thank you for the recommendations.
Hi Hamersfan,it is beef that I am interested in.
To be precise, I am looking for picanha..
after spending that much time in Afghanistan I recommend Goat that only eats trash, with a side of cute puppy with a dash of sand聽 :)....聽 聽mmmmmmmmmmmmm

well after googleing " picanha "聽 I'd say that looks much better.聽 I found a good recipe bit I'm no help on the place to find it.聽 I will be grilling it at home this weekend though.聽 聽Keep 'em commin

You just reminded me... I am looking for a south american alcohol called "Pisco"聽 聽

If anyone thinks of it and you see it could you please let me know where you found it?

Thank you
Chad
Chile
hmmmmmmmmm last time I found it was Peru....聽 聽Hoping for something a bit closer, but you might be right.

thanx man
Since I'm peruvian I can prodly say Pisco is peruvian. We have been looking for it for the past 5 months but it seems there is no Pisco in Malta :( We found it in Barcelona and Paris just in case you are traveling.
Chileans claim it originates from Chile...

I am not going to start a discussion here but Pisco is a peruvian drink that originates from the town of Pisco in Ica, Peru. Anyways, the only thing that Peruvians and Chileans agree is that Peruvian and Chilean Pisco are different because the process to make it is different. Chilean drink the Pisco with Coke (Piscola) and Peruvians pure or with lemon (Pisco Sour)..

Regarding the MEAT issue....
Try the Brazilian Rodizio at Portomaso or you can go to CHUKKAS, this place is not so commercial and well know by Maltese people. This is located next to the Malta Polo Club in Marsa (and yes..the meat they serve is 100% beef.. Guaranteed. The owner is Maltese but has lived in Argentina for some years so he makes the meat the Argentinian way. Highly recommended.

Cheap and Nice Steaks.... Henry J Beans :)

And i would love to try both versions of Pisco :)

Went to a really good Steakhouse in St. Julians yesterday evening and it really lived up to the recommendations we had. Probably  the best steaks we had for years!

Meet Argentinian Restaurant (2733 2299)

Above Ryan's Pub , near the St. Julians police station.

The filetsteak for 20,-聙 including salad or potatos was really good value and perfectly grilled!

Cheers
Ricky
Not a steakhouse but excellent meat : Don Berto, in Birgu (Vittoriosa). Portions are maltese, so you can easily divide between two people.
Head south, mate!
