Anyone living in Amstelveen? We are moving from Johannesburg, South Africa in August and I'd like to get some insights into the local living costs.

Hi there,

Amstelveen is a small town close to Amsterdam, Schiphol airport and nature. Many expats are living here. Amstelveen is also the right place for young families. Living in Amstelveen is not really that expensive but it is depend on you, i mean if you like expensive thingy, food, car, house etc than your lifestyle is expensive.
I am living in Amstelveen about 2 years now, close to Westwijk shopping centre, metro station and busstops. Just need 20 minutes to go to Amsterdam centre. Or you can go by car or bicycle if you prefer.
So that is a bit story about Amstelveen.
