Hi Jennie and welcome to the Forum. :)

At the top of the page is our Handy Tools link; if you select that, you'll get access to our Expat 大咖福利影院 which may answer many questions you have.聽 I'm assuming you've already sorted out your visas.

To answer your specific questions:

English Schools.聽 Plenty of International Schools, but very expensive; Google will help you find them; here's a to a search I just did.聽 If you're planning on staying in Holland, then I'd recommend you consider using the Dutch state schools; we did and our kids were just fine.

Job Opportunities.聽 Depends what you want.聽 My own experience is that to get a job in Holland, you need the following:

聽 Appropriate experience
聽 Appropriate qualifications
聽 Speak Dutch
聽 Luck

The more of those you tick off, the better chance you have of getting a well paid job.

Cost of living.聽 The Numbeo organisation publish a webpage which will give you details of specific costs and compare them to where you are now; this will take you to the website.

Pets.聽 The Dutch Government website regarding this is available from this .

Transport.聽 Depends where you live; the majority of the country has excellent public transport.聽 The majority of Dutch people manage day to day with a bicycle.

Health.聽 Medical Insurance is compulsory in Holland; this will take you to a webpage with further information.

Once you've read the above links and our guides; if you have any further questions, please come back to us.

Hope this helps.

I would casually tell you that 90% of your transport needs are sorted, as long as you can ride a bicycle.
