No, your wife does not need Dutch nationality, she needs to have Dutch residency, i.e. registered with the Gemeente and have a BSN number, when she does that, she also gets a DigiD number which allows her to go online and apply to sponsor your permit.

I'm a bit reluctant to say yes or no.聽 If it's a normal family style of visa where one is accompanying the other, for which one has a job in the Netherlands, then yes, you can normally work.聽 However, if it's a short-term visa, for example, research, then you can accompany, but can't work.聽 Volunteers are always needed everywhere around the world.

A facilitation visa can only be applied by a Non-EU citizen in his/her own country of origin or country legally resident. You are as confused as the idiots at VFS Global who are not competent to identify various forms of visas and advise prospects accordingly. A facilitation visa cannot be applied for online. It can only be submitted in person. Thank you

Your post would be relevant if I had been talking about a facilitation visa, I wasn't, so I can only suggest that you read the Forum thoroughly before you start unjustified criticising.聽 I said at the start (post 2) that I was speaking without access to my information but knew a family visa can be applied for by the sponsor online (the 7518 form that was referred to), so suggested that as a way around the predicament, all of my subsequent comments were based on that.

As for VFS global, if you have issues with the service they've provided you, then you can contact them via their website, this will take you straight to it.

I hope this helps.

Before scolding someone you should know that we all are volunteers and most of the time we are not experts. Cynic puts so much time and effort on this forum which I stopped a long time ago: if I can find information by Google, you can do it too.

Experts at the VFS global are humans too and everyone can make mistakes.

Maybe it was a trainee or someone who just recently joined the company.

You should take a class comprehensive reading, it would benefit you.

And my advice in general:

Go with your questions to the right institution.

I went to the 鈥済emeente鈥� with my wife and daughter (both registered at a 鈥済emeente鈥� but was told I need to apply from my home country for a MVV, got back and went to the embassy, they advised that I qualify for a facilitator visa but I need to apply in person at the IND. I am now as confused as a chameleon on a smartie box.

I do not want to fly there again but I cannot find sufficient information on the IND website to confirm this, does anybody have a link to this to explain how the process works as well as if I will be allowed to work there to provide for them?

what nationality?

If your daughter and wife lives in the Netherlands and are Dutch, you can not apply for a facilitation visa.

You should follow the MVV route which is included to learn Dutch to pass the basic integration exam.

So my facilitation visa was rejected because

-Sufficient justification for the purpose and circumstances of the intended stay was not provided

-Your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa could not be ascertained

I was told by the embassy here that there was some miscommunication with the application of my visa because the reasons given don't apply to a facilitation visa application. I filled out my application while I was on the phone with the embassy but they still processed it wrong. I think I got rejected because I selected "visiting family and friends" on the form and my stay was for 90 days. Any idea if that could be the reason?

It would be great if someone could shed some light on how to apply for a Facilitation Visa?

I got the same reasoning for rejection, although I did apply for the right category. I have my receipt from the visa center and I didn't pay for the visa as the facilitation visa is free. I really don't understand this.
