Hello!

I'm an American who has been living in the Netherlands for many years. I want to move to Norway and am wondering if it is possible to get a work visa as an unskilled worker?

I'm also wondering if it is possible to start my own business and get a work permit that way?

Any information would be very helpful.

udi has a very helpful website that should be able to answer your questions:

as far as I know there is no longer an unskilled work permit (other than seasonal work, which requires you to already have a job offer) and there isn't an investment/business visa either. But, I don't have personal experience with either so I could be wrong!
