Welcome to the forum

I would think your BF will be able to find out what is required for this as he is going to be your employer. He should set things in motion.

Go to "Discover" at the top of this page and open the Norway guide. This will give you some information. Also take the time to read other threads here on the Norway forum for information and advice.

Hello,

I can tell you things according to the Swedish law. Since all three Scandinavian countries have almost the same system I GUESS these MAYBE are the same in Norway too.

To hire a foreign housemaid isn't legally impossible but the process is full of complicated bureaucracy. Below are two basic criteria that I think applies in most of other western countries as well.

1. Since employer isn't a company but a private person he/she should have far more than an average annual income, in your case approx at least 600000 NOK
To pay your regulated minimum salary approx 14000 NOK and to pay payroll tax 30% of it and then still have enough money to cover his/her own expenses.

That means, to have you around him he has to pay your income tax (it varies from place to place but let us say 30%) approx 4200 NOK plus payroll tax approx 4200 NOK a total sum of approx 8400 NOK each month only to the government.

And as a foreign worker you have to have an own insurance too.

2. If you have children under 18 it minimize your possibility to be qualified, if you have children under 12 you probably be disqualified.

All the best!

Why not sister?

Anyone can be a tourist and anyone can be a sponsor as long as non of them has a criminal record and all the financial requirements are fulfilled.
Then there are other sub criteria depending on country, relationship and certain situations.

That's the general custom around the world.

This is my personal advice. As a developing country citizen you have to make yourself a nice stable and wealthy profile, you may own the house you are living in, has a running business or steady job etc.

The point is you have to convince the authorities in the country you are planing to visit that you have strong connections to your own country that you have no interest to stay in the country you are planing to vist to.

Ask your sponsor to mention that in the sponsor letter. How well the sponsor letter is written is very importen too.

All the best!

No. You should get all the papers legally clear before you go any further through that path, otherwise unclear martial states will be an obstacle, if it's not now it will be later.

To invite a foreign friend to my home I don't necessarily need to be his/her romantic partner or vice versa. That's what I meant in my previous post.

You misunderstood me. I'm not encouraging you to fool an authority of one of the least corrupted countries in the world. The thing is lot of people in developing countries are much wealthier than they think, if you exclude exchange rates and if you don't compare to developed country living standard, lifestyle etc.

What I meant by "nice, stable and wealthy profile" is you have a well organised, great life in your home country that you don't want give up it or change it so easily. Which is a strong connection you have to your home country. You rather prefer that life than to stay as an illegal alien in  another country.

Look around you! you surely have that kind of life. All you have to do is to realize it and organize it nicely and make the profile as the first step. Don't rush! Take it step by step.
