Before opening a bank account, you need a NIF (N煤mero de Identifica莽茫o Fiscal).

As a non-EU resident, you must appoint a Fiscal Representative (Representante Fiscal) in Portugal.

Service providers (such as Bordr, E-Residency.com, or local Portuguese lawyers) can obtain a NIF on your behalf online in a few business days using a copy of your passport and proof of address from Egypt.

Step 2: Choose a Bank & Remote Opening Method

Most major Portuguese banks (e.g., Millennium BCP, Novobanco, Santander, Banco BPI) allow remote account opening for non-residents through power of attorney or through recognized legal/relocation providers

I suggest you take a trip to Portugal to handle the initial steps (NIF, bank account) and prospect potential locations to live. Doing everything remotely is highly discouraged because of possible scams, misinformation, etc...
