Rugby for everybody?

Good morning bloggers.聽 I've just moved to bucharest and am looking hard for some sport to keep me fit.聽 I've been playing touch rugby and tag rugby for years in Ireland and was hoping that there would be something similar here, but can find nothing.聽 I've played full contact rugby in the past, but have now transitioned to the less punitive touch and tag rugby.

If you don't know the sport, it is non contact, played by both sexes on mixed teams.聽 It is great exercise, uses the basic rules of rugby, but without the scrubs, tackles or line outs.聽 It is hugely popular in Ireland, with thousands of regular players in Dublin alone.

It is suitable for all ages, from 16 to 60, and all levels of fitness.

I'm hoping to start a bit of a following.聽 Start by meeting in the evening for a play around with a ball, moving to small games when we have 10 people, and then graduating into leagues when numbers build.

So spread the word, leave a message if you are interested or have a group that would take part.聽 As soon as there is a pool of players, I will organise a meet.

My husband Patrick would be interested in joining this. He has no experience of rugby being Dutch but he's a fast learner. Let us know where its on and he will be there.

Thats great Christine.聽 It would be great if you could help pull a group together.聽 I am lobbying all my contacts - perhaps you could round up a few more troops, and we can possible start in the next few weeks.

I'm interested in playing touch rugby too. I have never played it before but I like practicing sports in general and I'd be glad to do some exercise.

Hey guys, how's things? Are you still playing rugby or have a meetings? I'm playing volleyball, but I suppose I could hack the rules I had a little probs with my back, but after 2 months I'm in a good condition. Need training again.
