Tafan Medical services Edinburgh

I recieved e-mails from this company offering me a job of Consultant Radiologist . They gave me a 3 years contract. They directed me to Immigration law firm, who asked me to deposit GBP 750 in my own name through moneygram, which I shall be getting when I go there. it is a financial security deposit. Thereafter they asked me to send GBP 1248 for health surcharge to be paid to govt. they gave me personal names to transfer money by various agencies, including one in UAE. I suspect scam and fraud

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

We had a similar e-mail from another medical professional recently, they are scammers, be very careful in your dealings with them.  There is absolutely no requirement to pay a deposit to get any job in the UK.

If you are looking for a job as a Consultant Radiologist in the UK, then it's probably best to start by looking at the UK Government National Health Service, they have a website that deals with this specifically with lots of links on the process to follow; this will take you there.

I hope this helps.

A job without application???

Why would you think it was real?

Your own name is fine, but you gave them your passport and other personal details so all they need is a slightly dodgy agent and they have your cash - as withdrawn by you according to the paperwork. Just for good measure, the agent they withdrew the cash at has a photocopy of your passport to prove you took the money.

As for the 1248 quid, if you sent it, it's lost.

Now to your bank account - That's compromised as well, as is everything else. There's a better than average chance you're buying a lot of stuff on credit you have no idea is there. You might very well start to receive final demands or get letters from your bank about your overdraft.

I'm truly shocked people fall for these scams so easily.

Hang on, Consultant Radiologist - GOSH !!!!!!
