For those that are ill and cannot work much--how to move to Europe

I have chronic Lyme and am in treatment. But it's super expensive and not covered by any insurance. I work very little. I thought of moving to Europe b/c their healthcare as a whole is eons better than the shithole that is the US. Plus, I have a brother in Switzerland. However, as a guest, I could only stay I think 3 months before being kicked out.

How does one move overseas if they cannot work that much or are on disability?

Can't imagine living there on less than $2000/mo as a base rate (including rent (1500 1bdrm) /base health insurance (500+ % deductible) / simple food, no transport, etc..)...
and that's just surviving with no internet/cellphone or TV!聽
Ask your brother if you can live with him
(save on rent) and contribute to the utilities...

Hello Lucy Molly,

Please note that this is an old and inactive thread.

I suggest that you go through the Switzerland forum to read the various discussions.
