Contract Phone Purchase Mall Bahrain

5 months ago purchased a brand new phone from Mall on full price. Shop keeper made receipt and told that he has purchased from his client and that he will pay the phone monthly to the network operator.

I paid full price for the brand new phone.

After 5 months the network operator has locked the phone. And Shop Keeper isnt co-operating.

What are the options:

A) File a Police Report

B) File a Complaint in Consumer Court?

Any other option?

Both.聽 And never buy phones from these kind of shops.聽 Always go to places like sharaf dg.

@XTang Yes You are right, i Learned it the hard way. Now Buying Selling of Contract Phones is not legal anymore. but that wasnt the case 5 months ago.

It was never legal.聽 See any contract from STC or Batelco.聽 There was always a clause prohibiting reselling as well as the right for the operator to block the said phone.聽聽They just did not enforce it back then.
