Driving Out Export Vehicle from Causeway

Hi, i have got export number plates for my vehicle. i have saudi visa can i drive the vehicle from causeway to exit country? please note work visa of bahrain is now cancelled and i am going to UAE

Agent told it can only be taken via tow truck as the vehicle has to be re - registered with UAE customs so you cant drive it. it has to go on a tow truck

Permanantly exported vehicle.

One agent at the maroor office told me to get temporary export certificate but that was new information for me so i stick with the permanant export number.

Good eve...聽 I would like聽 to ask my son聽 Born in bahrain聽 but I don't have embassy in bahrain聽 in short I want to go back home looking for passport聽 of my son so that I can apply visa for him he is聽 almost 1 year ... I'm worried聽 that may be聽聽if there is penalty like that kindly can advise me ... or if there is some update聽 regarding my case

Wrong thread for your question. There might be a penalty, check with immigration.

On the car question, you can drive it out BUT be ready to waste hours at the border completing procedures. It's not like a normal drive i.e. you just go through, go home and then do the procedures later. Search the forum as other members have detailed their experience.聽 vikpaw specifically, coming the other way i.e. Saudi to Bahrain spent hours at the border.

Edit: Sorry, just saw that you are going to UAE. Then no, you cannot drive it to UAE border. A car with export license plates cannot be driven in Saudi unless it is registered / completes some procedures on arrival in Saudi. This car is going to a third country so has to be sent via truck.
