Living costs : 500BHD a month as a single guy

Hi everyone,

You must get this a lot but I cant really see a good answer. After rent can you live on 500BHD a month as a single guy. Mid 40's reduced partying etc. but would like gym, British club membership and decent tv package.

Your thoughts would be great.

Looking at your profile, you are from the UK, so I am going to be blunt and say no.聽 Because you said reduced partying.聽聽It should be more like zero partying (alcohol is super expensive compared to the UK) and very little eating out.聽聽Search the forum.聽 Housemaids in good households get 250 BD a month with living costs covered (groceries, medical, toiletries etc.).聽聽After rent, you have got multiple costs e.g. groceries, transport etc. (assuming medical and so on is covered).聽聽

If you manage your lifestyle severely then yes it is entirely possible - not sure how much BC costs but a good neighborhood gym would not be expensive.聽 Ditto tv.
