Moving to Bahrain just before the crisis

Diksha

Hi everybody,

Taking the plunge and daring to move abroad is a real challenge, but when your move to Bahrain is marked by an unprecedented health, social and economic crisis, as we have been experiencing for just over a year, this change can be much more significant and demanding. If you moved to Bahrain shortly before or during the pandemic, we would like to know more about your experience.

When and under what circumstances did you move to Bahrain?

What impact did the restrictions have on your integration into the country?

Were you able to make new friends in your host country and get used to the new culture and environment?

Have you had the opportunity to discover the country or the region where you are staying despite that?

Do you feel "at home" in this new place?

Thanks for your contribution!

Diksha,

You are always welcome !

I moved to here  last August by the invitation from a reputed firm according to me bahrain gives more freedom than any other contry i never experienced other contry but i heard lot of peoples experiences about different gcc here there is lot of rules but the regulations are not very hard its easy to live here and especially doing business because its an open market. The contry is very small so there is no much to explore only less than fingercounting the only issue felt personally is expenses its bit expensive to live here like apartments, electricity, clothing all sort of things are very expensive but eletronics is little relaxing .The people here (Bahraini's) are very educated comparing with other arab countries we can easily uptake this  from there respective intraction towards us mostly they are very friendly i have lot  Bahraini friends we usually goes to clubs together like my indian friends with all the fun. At the time i reached here pandemic was just introduced in china and everything was quite and shiny but the time of initial spread of corona all over the world it was little pulsated everywhere same reflected here. The natives where more frightend than expats result of that in them they rumored that we imigrants are the one who brings diseases from outside so they where more conscious in catching up with immigrants it effected the business sector moreover the pandemic counting increased uncontrollably but the government  had all control they could minimize the spreading at the intial time itself after 5-7 month everthing went normal except mask again i never had rampage situation like current india. Moreover i never had homely feel because of the climate it is bit hard  to live here if you have will then you have a way here
I think this will be useful whoever willing to move

Thank you for having me here!
