I'm an Aussie from Brisbane (well Brit/Aussie/pak)!!!!! I'm in Bahrain too.

What you need in Bahrain is friends - not just Australian friends.
I have an Australian friend and she is the only Oz in a huge circle of friends. Don't restrict yourself, get out there and have fun.
Easiest way to make new friends is at work, gym, expat club etc - same as in most countries worldwide.
