Working Condition in Basra Iraq

I am from Malaysia and now reside in Doha...I got an offer from Shell to work in Basra Iraq...Just to know if anybody in this group are currently in Iraq, what is the safety condition there and is that advisable to work there or not?

Hi,
My response might be pretty late but i think it will help.

I'm Currently working here in Basra Iraq.
We have shell client in Rumaila Basra and Majnoon Basra.
The threat level here is so normal and no any terrorist activity since i come here 2 years ago.

In fact shell company will give you the best security provider anywhere in Iraq,
