Never ever travel to a Gulf country unless ur salary and the package is not declred. Please don't do this mistake as I know tens of people who had travelled to GCC without finalizing their salary packages and they suffered like hell when they reached. Kuwait/Qatar are considered to be the worst when it comes to employement.

is it a contract or a just an employment.

Well, if you don t like their salary once you get there, you ll be up to bring some souvenir back home, sounds fair ?

I AGREE FULLY WITH THE ABOVE! HEARD AND SEEN TOO MANY HORROR STORIES THAT STARTED LIKE THIS. I RECOMMEND AGAINST TRAVEL WITHOUT HAVING A SIGNED DOCUMENT/CONTRACT STATING EXACTLY WHAT THEY WILL GIVE YOU, WHETHER IT'S A PRIVATE OR GOVERNMENT DEPT.

I am supposed to leave to Kuwait on 18th of this month and my flight tickets have been sent to me. I mailed them regarding the slaray part and the reply is " your file has been sent for salary assessment and will let you know in 2 to 3 weeks".


This sounds highly irregular, even if you have been offered a job as a CEO to the whole Department or something - without a signed contract it means nothing. What serious employer sends you a ticket for the 18th of Feb, and yet they are reviewing the salary and let you know in '2 or 3 weeks'?

Can always risk coming here and see how it turns out but it's a risk you have to be ready to take and treat it as an adventure. Hope it turns out well for you.
