Is 1000 good enough for a couple and a 3 yrs old kid to live kuwait

Hi all,

Need your advice please ,to take a correct decision.
Recently I got a job offer from kuwait ,1000 kd (accomodation and travel not included) plus 15 % annual bonus plus family free air ticket every 2 years .
Is this offer good enough to accept?

We are from India and planning to move to kuwait along with my wife and 3 yr old son.I have around 10yrs of experience in IT and getting around Rs1.3 L per month here

No its not good for 10 Years experience IT professional.
Try to negotiate and get more.
you will end up saving hardly 300-350 KD per month out of 1000 KD.

Dear Jo13al,

1000+Accommodation+Travelling is good if you compare from your current salary(210,000>130,000)聽 .

You can manage to save 500-700 if accommodation is from company side.

Hello Sir, I believe you should negotiate with the prospective employer to at least provide for Housing allowance which should be at least 250 KD. Because in present scenario your expenses will be as follows :

1) Rent 1 BR unfurnished Apt (230 - 260 KD) or 2 BR unfurnished (320 - 350 KD) almost everywhere in Kuwait.
2) Groceries, Food, Household, Weekly once dinner outing & Telephone & Internet expenses - 200 to 250 KD.
3) Car Installment & Fuel expenses maximum 70-100 KD..

So you can expect expenses of about 600-650 KD roughly, can be little lower or higher So you will save around 350 to 400 KD only if you go ahead with present salary, If they add another 200-250 KD allowance you will be saving around 500 KD at least which is more than 1L Indian Rupees.
