Can I send resignation while outside Kuwait?

I am not happy with my employment and some points in my contract are not followed but my employer rejected my resignation saying I must finish 2 years. I completed 15 months plus the 90 days notice to make it 18 months.

Can I go on vacation and send my resignation while I am outside of kuwait? That way, he cannot refuse it anymore as I will not return to Kuwait. I am planning to go to the UK.

Hi , yes you can do that , they will not do anything because that's your right.

If they ask you the reason , just tell them I'm not happy there and you decided to go somewhere else. They will understand it.

By the way , In case if you found another job and they refused to release you , just go to the shooun ( the ministry of labor and work ) and file a case. They will never be able to do anything against you because you file case first and they will beg you to drop the case and shooun will directly transfer your name to your new employer.

Thank you so much for your reply. No, I didnt find another job here in Kuwait so I do not wish to cause trouble at the shoon. I have a job offer in the UK and I want to take the opportunity. So, when I get my work permit in the UK, I will just file a vacation here at work and mail in my resignation afterwards.
