I am just completing the set-up of a small business. The process is quite complicated, and varies in complexity, requirements and time by the type of activity licence you need, and the current of residency status you currently have or don't have. Remember also that you need things like a bank account set-up in the name of the firm, and to which you are the authorised signatory (and this needs to be confirmed in your company's article of association). There are so many little things that need to be done correctly.

I have used a local law firm who have been very helpful - I would not have managed this on my own. I am happy to recommend the law firm I used (they were definitely very good and proactive). They are called MAQLegal. Contact me if you want the name of the person there who specialises in this work.
