Residence Card in Oman

redymasa09

Hello,
Will be going to Oman next week via work visa.

Per google, I need to obtain a residence card within 30 days upon arrival.
May I ask if I can already start working without processing this yet? Let's say I will process the residence card on my last week, can I already start working on my first 3 weeks?

Thankyou!

Hi redymasa09,

Providing an employee with a resident card is the responsibility of the employer. The employee must simply adhere to the required processes and procedures like going for the medicals etc.

The employer's PRO would take care of all the required paperwork and other formalities. The employee must simply tag along for the fingerprinting, photographing and signing the card.

To cut a long story short, there is no 'I will process the residence card on my last week, can I already start working on my first 3 weeks?

Leave it to your employer to take care of all these formalities.

You can start working, your sponsor will take care of that you don't need to worry about it

Hello. Thanks for the response
May I ask if medical tests are required to secure the residence card? If so, what are these tests?
