I used to Live in saudi. Now moved to Dubai,So i wanted to know if its possible to renew my Saudi License .

P.S- I left Saudi in Exit last year and no longer have an Iqama and my Driving License is Expired.

Can anyone share their insights ?

I got my license renewed in Dec 2021.

My case is as follows.

I already got a license issued in 2015 but this had expired because I went for exit. Also I lost my license original and did not have a copy.

1.Below is the address of the driving school I visited.

亘丕賱賯乇亘賲賳, Al Takhassousi, 丨賷丕賱賳禺賷賱, 噩亘賱丕賱夭賷鬲賵賳, Riyadh

2. I booked an appointment for license renewal on absher app and got an appointment after 11 days.

3. I payed 200 SAR online for the renewal of license of online payment.

4. I took a medical test before going to the test center. This cost me 100 SAR. I got this done at test center in Hara behind Malaz restaurant.

5. I went to the driving school on the day of appointment. My appointment was at 10 am. I reached at 10.40 am and they did not let me through. I asked a few other people and it seemed that some people were not able to go even at 10 am. So make sure you reach the school at 7.30 am in the morning irrespective of your appointment time.

6. I got a green file prepared from one of the offices outside. They took 10 Riyal for this.

A form prepared by the man in the office which states聽 the iqama number and聽 purpose of visit.

Photo attached to聽 this form聽 (please聽 take聽 2 passport photos聽 just聽 in case.

c)
Copy of current聽 iqama

d)
Copy of previous expired聽 iqama

E)
Appointment聽 print out from Absher.

8.聽 I took these documents to building number 1 and waited for my turn.

9. Upon my turn聽 I was asked to give another 180 SAR made聽 only through a Mada聽 card . This payment CANNOT聽 be made online聽 or聽 with聽 cash or by another card except聽 MADA.聽 THIS聽 180聽 is only applicable to thos whose聽 driving license has ALREADY聽 EXPIRED.聽 For those people whoare聽 renwing聽 a valid license due to change of iqama聽 this fees is not appilcable.

10. Once submitted聽 I got the聽 license in聽 5 minutes聽 Alhamdulillah .

Please make sure to reach the聽 school at 7.30聽 am for better聽 chance of getting your license on the same day. Other wise you will have to suffer聽 like me and many other who had to go twice or thrice to get things done.

Also the rules keep changing so聽 I can聽 only be sure of the process as of today..
