Celta course fees, and alternatives

Hello everyone,

I work in a small town in Saudi.I am considering teaching English language to some ladies who have asked for help. My command of English, both written and spoken, is at a proficient level, but I don't have a native speaker's accent.

Although enthusiastic about the prospect,I am not a teacher by profession, so I don't know how to go about it.I thought it'd be a good idea to get some training, so I found out about the CELTA course offered by the British council. I understand this course focuses on 'how to teach ESL', not what to teach.

Does anyone know how much this course costs? The website did not mention it.

Please advise on useful ways,online courses,books or websites to learn; what to teach, where to start from, etc. Also, in case I am unable to afford the CELTA course, what other sources can I creditably learn the same sort of thing from? I am not particular about certification, but I would like good, proven resources. I want to get encouraging results, or myself and the learner.
