I am Muhammad Faisal, have been working in Jeddah - KSA since last 9 years... by the way to bring family in KSA not a easy job… because it does not depend upon the male’s salary, it depends on the male's profession, which is written on his Iqama and Visa. If it is Technical, Engineer, Programmer, Salesman or Doctor then they can bring their family easily, but in Saudi Arabia 99% person have different visa then his actual job, in your case I don’t know what is your fiancé visa status. likewise, You can run your family with the mentioned salary but I don’t think so, you can save money!
Best of Luck
Muhammad Faisal
Salary at 2500 SR is low! I presume he gets free accomodation and benefits. You will just survive but on a tight budget!
There is person where I work who is bringing his family over from India. His Iqama states his profession correctly as consultant. He had no problems, his salary was not asked about.
Anything else please feel free to ask

If you secure a teaching position in KSA, then you can come to KSA on a work visa...most of us expats are here on a work visa.
In terms of visa it will most probably be better if you can get the job before coming to KSA.
If you come on a family visa, that does not entitle you to work...you still have to apply for work visa...its much easier to get a work visa from outside KSA
Good to hear your doing MBA..its a great qualification which is highly regarded in KSA.
I would suggest you google the contact details for Princess Noura Bint Abdurrahman University. Its a new university being built near the airport (its enormous) and is a university for women. Im sure they would be interested in your qualifications. Good Luck
Im a chartered accountant from the UK currently working in Riyadh for the Saudi Govt. I have also decided to go for the MBA qualification. any recommendations? I hear that a few Indian Universities do distance learning programmes.
regarding Indian university, Indra gandhi open university is the best for doing distance education. It has a good value. but since u r from UK u can also try international universities too.

One of my friend's wife is here on family visa and she is also teaching in private school. I hope u can also find a job here.
i need to ask one more information. If i come to saudi in family visa, is it possible for me to get a job and work there?
because somebody told me that if i come under family visa i will not be able to work there.
I have been reading all your question and answer above...
to make it short.... i would like to tell you that it is very easy to get a "teacher" job here in international schools... most of the women are working here are on family visa.. not an employment visa... even my wife is going to an International school here in Riyadh,....
feel free to ask if you have any question

my fiance's salary is 2500 SAR, will it be sufficient for us to run the family of 2.

Hi Rekha,
I asked my friends, his wife is on family visa and she is also teaching in schoolÂ…I think your above questions are already answered so, don't worry about it.
Happy marriage.
Faisal
Be practical and think. Check whether your fiancee has got free food and accomodation. If yes there is not much problem, as one of our friend mentioned above there will be little scope for saving. and if your fiancee is paying from his own pocket for food and accomodation than it is very difficult to save in SR 2500/-.
At present his company offers a annual pay of 12000 - 13000 SAR for housing allowance, if he wishes to stay outside the camp.

Do tell me also that my brother is planing to come over here he also got visa of electrician through an agent .is it possible for him that at the time of the preparation of iqama he changed his profession to an engineer as he's also electrical engineer or is this not possible do tell me waiting thank you so much
hasnat1 wrote:The profession will be written on the visa document is Electrician. The same will be transferred on my Iqama when i reach here so the profession is Electrician but i m an elec engineer my degreee is recognized by HEC of Pakistan so can i get family visa?? Thnx
You'll have to change profession on your iqama to get eligible to apply for the family visa. This can be done only after iqama is issued (a few weeks after your arrival).
