hmm, but I would think Contacts list still sounds better. I mean think about it, friends would be too specific, while contact is general. hence it would serve a bigger cuase.

I do think that Contacts is a more general term but...

My vote is for a 'Friends List',   provided that we/they have the option to request/decline being someones friend before we/they can be placed on the list.  Friend means that I want that person in my circle of friends and acquaintances... or on my network list.

i'll defend my vote by adding the the same feature is included in contact. how the heck am I your contact if I didnt allow it.

Why not call it personal network? friends is too specific, contacts is too general, I'd choose contact if I had to, but I think network is the right name

As I said in my PM, it's not the name we are objecting to, it's the process.

Just make it "invitable".

John wants to be your contact.  Do you want to be a contact for John?   __ Yes       __No

Make it a one click action.  It shouldn't be a burden to say yes or no to a contact, nor time consuming.

the very first prototype is online (I call it "contacts V2"). Have a look to your contacts, I am pretty sure you'll be impressed how many "pending contact requests" are in your list

I won't explain the whole system for now, I've done my best to make it easy to use.

MisterStretch, the email idea is a very good idea. I've done something like this, but I am pretty sure I could improve it in the "contacts V2.1"

I am now waiting for your comments
